Tarsar Marsar Trek with IndiaHikes
After an incomplete trek in 2019 with IndiaHikes at Dayara Bugyal in Uttrakhand, I had determined to do yet another with them sooner or later. And so mid in 2021, the big mountains known as me once more. And this time from the Kashmir valley, the Tarsar Marsar Trek with IndiaHikes crew.

My two cents: On treks, set no expectations. Although technically you do, that’s to finish and attain the summit. However my 2019 and 2021 experiences modified my trekking perspective. Is it the “place” or “folks” or each that make the journey so memorable, I’m wondering…
Day 1: Mumbai-Srinagar-Pahalgam
We landed in Srinagar. Touring from west of India from a scorching and humid metropolis, wanting ahead to nice climate within the Kashmir valley. Little did we all know that 34°C would observe us until Srinagar, we acquired sunstruck. All of us glanced at our backups ‘did I overpack heat garments’?
We needed to attain Pahalgam by night, so we rushed out of town on the earliest, grabbing the irresistible north Indian meal(parathas with maa ki daal). The drive on NH44 and NH501 was lovely. As we crossed the freeway, the plush inexperienced orchards and blush pink apples tempted us to cease to attempt the apple juice. It was rejuvenating from a protracted touring day and altering our style buds from tadka masala to candy and tangy.
