Joe Martin Stage Race: Clarke wins stage 1 on Mount Gaylor Street Race


Jonathan Clarke crossed the road solo forward of teammate Noah Granigan because the Wildlife Technology Professional Biking Crew went one-two within the Mount Gaylor Street Race on the opening day of the Walmart Joe Martin Stage Race. Tyler Stites (Venture Echelon Racing) completed in third.

A 3-rider chase group behind Clarke completed 34 seconds again, led by Granigan. Stites took the ultimate podium spot forward of climber Sergio Henao who posted a shock fourth place. The Colombian retired in March however returned to racing in Arkansas as a part of a seven-rider squad Emanuel Ibarry 2NDBIKE. After 9 years on the WorldTour stage at Crew Sky and UAE Crew Emirates, he moved to Qhuheka-NextHash in 2021, however couldn’t discover a contract when the workforce shut down in December.
