Stevo is a committed fitness nerd. Born in Georgia, Stevo went to school for Philosophy and worked as a wine salesman and sommelier to put his lovely wife through law school. By the time they moved to San Francisco in 2006, he was very overweight and completely sedentary. But in March of 2008, he decided not to live like that anymore and lost 60 lbs. in 292 days before running the Las Vegas Marathon. Never content, Stevo then pursued his dream of becoming an officer in the United States Marine Corps. For 14 months he trained other officer candidates and fell in love with motivating people to meet their fitness goals. Based on his "Keep it Simple, Stupid" approach to training, dozens of those candidates achieved the level of fitness necessary to become Marine Officers. Stevo became the only candidate in Northern California history to achieve perfect scores on both the Physical and Combat Fitness Test. And while he was never selected for military service, it was this experience that drew him into a passion for the science of fitness.
Stevo has lived at every level of physical conditioning and knows first hand what it takes to get off the couch and make serious life changes. His specialty is ordinary people with big fitness goals or those who just want to be excited to use their bodies again. High on results and low on frills, his fitness philosophy is "simple, but never easy."
