This yoga class combines very detailed alignment work, inspired by the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar, with the joyous flow of a Vinyasa-based practice. From the specific placement of the body in a given posture, to the transitions between poses in the Sun Salutation, the goal of this class, at every level, is to clarify.
A strong booty is a hot booty! Join Coach Stevo as he leads you through exercises that focus on the glutes, hips, and core. Emphasis will be on proper form and complex, multi-joint resistance training for maximum strength and tone. This class is predominately lower body, but be prepared for total-body hotness. The body depends on movement to remain healthy, and stretching is an important part of fitness and sports training. In addition to improving your flexibility, stretching can also reduce post-exercise muscle soreness, increase your sports or exercise performance, reduce muscle tension, minimize your risk of injury and help you relax. There are 3 main types of stretching, each offering different benefits. While practicing static stretching, dynamic stretching and ballistic stretching, you'll learn to choose the right type of stretching according to whether you are warming up, cooling down or just trying to improve your flexibility.
This class focuses on whole body movements with and without weights, intense cardiovascular training and functional resistance training to burn fat and sculpt your muscles. Endurance, agility, sprinting, jumping, core work, steps - whatever inspires our instructor that morning. Be sure to eat some whole carbs before you arrive. (For non-members, PHHC Day Pass required.)
A high intensity, no excuses full-body workout. We'll be incorporating multi-joint exercises, interval training and functional movements to sculpt your body into a well-honed physique. We'll also focus on hitting movements in every anatomical plane, while adding cardio bursts throughout the workout. An invigorating yet steady flow that will inspire total body connection and ease of motion. Beginners will be led gently and advanced enthusiasts will be given opportunities to deepen the practice. Each class includes gentle flow sequences as well as time to ‘be’ in some of the poses - new focus postures will be explored in each class and then woven into the flow. Focus and attention to proper alignment during flow is taught with specific and individualized attention for each participant. Conscious breathing and awareness of energy is encouraged throughout.

Performed on a mat, we'll take you through a series of controlled movements that flow together to strengthen your core muscles and lengthen the tight muscles of your lower body.
Power Flow Yoga is an invigorating vinyasa yoga practice with emphasis on synchronizing movement with breath to create heat, build strength from the inside out and unify body and mind. Variations are presented for each flow sequence, making class accessible to both beginners and seasoned practitioners. You will most likely sweat and sleep very well.
Restorative Yoga is a healing practice that uses props to support every pose. The purpose is restoration of energy: to rest, heal and digest. Working with the nervous system to create conditions for relaxation, we remain in supported postures for 10-20 minutes with plenty of time to sink into this restful practice. You may want to wear layers of comfortable clothing, including warm socks.

Sun Salutations are incorporated to ignite the body while creative sequencing is introduced to challenge both the body and mind. Progressive resistance is the key. We combine a wide variety of weight training exercises with cardio routines to give you an all- around basic workout. Zumba® is a Latin-inspired dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez in Colombia. Unlike typical dance classes where counts are used, Zumba involves following the music with repetitive movements. The choreography incorporates hip hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves for a great aerobic workout. Squats and lunges are also included. Classes fill up fast, so plan to arrive early.
