Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we hear.


Q. Who can I contact if I don’t see the answer to my question here?
A. Please send us an email or call (415) 563-6694.

Q. Do I have to commit to a one-year term?
A. Actually, we have month-to-month as well as 7-month and 12-month membership terms.  You pay for your membership in monthly payments in advance of the covered month, which starts on the day you purchase your membership. If you cancel, you will still have an active membership until the current term ends.

Q. When does it get really crowded?
A. Our peak usage times are Monday through Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30pm.  Because we have a limited number of memberships available, we are usually able to prevent the overcrowding that many health clubs and gyms experience.  No time limits of sign-up sheets here.

Q. I travel quite a bit. Can I put my membership on hold while I’m away?
A. Yes, you can freeze your membership for a minimum of 1 month and maximum of 6 months, in one-month increments, and you will only be billed the reduced rate of $20 per month during this time.

Q. I need to cancel my membership. What do I need to do?
A. We need a notice from you in writing. You can fill out the Cancellation Notice Form online or stop by the PHHC Front Desk for the paper form.  You pay for your membership in monthly payments in advance of the covered month, which starts on the day you purchase your membership. If you cancel, you will still have an active membership until the current term ends.  For example, if you are billed on the 15th of every month, you need to cancel before the 14th to avoid being billed again and will be a member through the 14th.

Q. Are day passes available for Pacific Heights Health Club?
A. Yes, we love having visitors.  Day Passes are $25.  One-week passes are $95.

Q. Can non-members take classes?
A. Yes, the drop-in fee for a single class is $18-25 for a single class.  We also offer 5-, 10- and 20-class cards that are available for purchase at the PHHC Front Desk and are valid for six months from date of purchase.

Q. People rave about a skyroof in your reviews.  Does it really open?
